ACW’s Ageism program focuses on combating the isolation, neglect, and stigma often faced by the elderly. By creating opportunities for social interaction
, mental stimulation, and physical activity, we aim to enhance the overall quality of life for seniors in our community.
- Community Meals and Social Gatherings: We host regular community meals where the elderly can come together to share food, engage in meaningful conversations, and form supportive relationships. These social gatherings not only provide nutrition but also promote mental well-being and reduce loneliness, helping to foster a sense of belonging within the community.
- Elderly Games and Activities: Through fun, interactive games and activities, we promote cognitive function, physical health, and social interaction among seniors. These games are designed to keep the elderly mentally active, strengthen motor skills, and encourage group participation, which improves their emotional well-being and combats the harmful effects of isolation.
- Advocacy Against Ageism: ACW works to raise awareness about ageism, advocating for a society where the elderly are respected, valued, and given opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the community. We challenge stereotypes and work to change public perceptions about aging.
